charming stay near the canal

charming buildingcomfortable spaceconvenient shuttle
the building had character. the staircase and little hallway downstairs were interesting. i found the space very comfortable, and i enjoyed the downstairs room with breakfast provisions. the free shuttle bus from the train station stops nearby, and the center is a short walk along the canal.
the building's insulation could be improved. it was easy to hear noises from adjacent rooms.
Dining
9/10
the provided breakfast included breads, cheese, yogurt, cereal, milk, tea, and coffee. it was a self-serve setup, requiring guests to clean up after themselves. this system allowed breakfast at any preferred time.
Service
10/10
the host provided easy access arrangements to the hotel. i received useful information and great communication from peter. i appreciate the clear instructions and support offered.
Rooms
9/10
the room was quiet and comfortable. it had bunk beds in an attached space suitable for families. a door led from the bedroom to an enclosed courtyard.
Facilities
10/10
the location is directly on a main canal. the hotel is near the city center, about five minutes by foot. despite the central location, the rooms face a garden away from canal noise.

helpful hostblocked toiletflooded bathroom
the location was acceptable because it was near transportation. host was helpful too. parking was also easy to get to.
i really disliked the blocked toilet during the entire stay. reporting this problem didn't help because there was no resolution and bathroom was flooded. the owner apologized and it wasn't enough.
